Rich Reizen, chair of Gould & Ratner’s Construction Practice and Hannah Batsche, associate in Gould & Ratner’s Construction Practice, spoke at a National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) West meeting on Oct. 27.
Their presentation, entitled Escalating Material Costs, Supply Chain Disruptions and Work-Force Shortages: Coping With Construction’s "New Normal", discussed certain of the major external pressures on the industry, and offered some best practices to cope with those external forces through careful preparation and planning, the collaborative inclusion of all participants to the process and thoughtful and detailed contract drafting.
