Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that Dean Richardson has joined the firm as a partner in its Litigation Practice, based in its Denver office.

“We’re excited to add another lawyer to our growing Denver presence,” said Chris McCall, Partner in Charge of Gould & Ratner’s Denver office, which officially opened in mid-2024.  “We’ve had great strength here in corporate matters, but Dean now adds great depth in handling a variety of litigation matters here in Colorado and beyond.”

Richardson has experience representing a myriad of clients in commercial, cannabis, trade secret and real estate disputes. He has extensive experience protecting and enforcing client interests in shareholder disputes and situations related to a breach of fiduciary duty. Within the scope of his work involving real estate matters, Richardson provides counsel in real property conflicts related to land ownership, easements, and title insurance defense.

“Dean’s longtime experience in handling commercial and real estate-related litigation will be a great benefit to our clients,” said David Wayne, chair of Gould & Ratner’s Litigation Practice.  “He’s also one of the top litigators in the country for cannabis clients, adding even more industry depth for our firm’s Cannabis and Regulated Industries Practice.”

Richardson earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.
